Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a disorder which affects between 4%–6% of reproductive-age women. It is one of the most common causes of infertility.

This disorder is characterized by:

1. Irregular menstruation
2. Excessive hair growth
3. Frequently overweight 
4. High androgen level
5. Infertility
6. Occasionally diabetes or high blood pressure
